Despite Ten Hag’s team recently defeating Manchester City at Wembley to secure the FA Cup, the Dutch coach will still be sacked following the management’s review of the entire season’s campaign by the Red Devils.
Manchester United finished the 2023/24 season in eighth place in the Premier League – their worst-ever performance in the club’s history, narrowly missing out on European football next season if not for their FA Cup triumph over Manchester City last Saturday.
However, despite guiding Manchester United to the FA Cup with an impressive victory over Manchester City, Ten Hag’s position remains heavily uncertain. Their dismal performance in the Premier League, finishing eighth and trailing the top four by eight points, has cast doubt on his suitability as the club’s head coach.
