After winning the Globe Soccer European Awards 2024 Player of the Year, Kylian Mbappe faces criticism from fans.
At the KAFD Globe Soccer European Awards 2024 ceremony held in Italy, Kylian Mbappe was undoubtedly one of the most watched figures by experts and fans alike. Despite not having an overwhelmingly successful season with PSG, the French superstar was honored with the Player of the Year award by the organization.
Notably, Mbappe outshone other standout performers of the season, including Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Harry Kane.
Upon learning of Mbappe’s achievement, fans expressed collective outrage, with the majority feeling Mbappe was undeserving of the award compared to other candidates, especially at 26 years old.
One person said, “If the award is based on performance, Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Jr deserve it. If it’s based on goals, Harry Kane scored the most. If considering both form and goals, Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Jr would have been more deserving. How did Mbappe win this award in the end?”

Kylian Mbappe has officially bid farewell to PSG after 7 years with the club, and his future destination remains unclear, although Real Madrid, a team the 2018 World Cup winner has long dreamed of joining since childhood, seems a likely next step.
