Klopp shared about Jota’s ability to play

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to drop Diogo Jota from the Reds’ Boxing Day match against Burnley at Turf Moor.
The Portuguese attacker has been under the care of a medical team since suffering a muscle injury in the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on November 25.
Jota’s pain has kept the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player out of Liverpool’s last eight matches in all competitions, although he is expected to return before the new year.
The Portuguese midfielder was not given the green light to face Arsenal over the weekend, but speaking to the press ahead of Burnley’s trip to the stadium, Klopp did not explicitly state that the 27-year-old would not be available, despite his lack of attack options.
“I don’t want to rule anyone out now. We’ll wait and see. He hasn’t trained with the team yet and we only had one training session between the two matches,” Klopp told reporters.
“I don’t know. I saw him [on Friday]. He’s not training with the team, but I haven’t asked who will be there yet. The medical department will let me know.”
